The problem I am having is that Rufus does not recognize the Ubuntu ISO in order to work with it. It won't see it in the download folder, so I moved the ISO to the desktop, and it would not see it there either.

This tip helped me with my Logitech G-915 as well. If I spun the wheel too quickly it would jitter up and down instead of in the direction chosen.

If you ask again because it’s 2024 or 2025. I bought a Lenovo Legion 5 pro with some extra memory, both SSD and RAM. It was less than 2 years ago. Can’t say anything about the battery, because I used to work from home and I also didn’t have any problems with the screen. Except for low quality assembly down the screen. The system is very strange, Lenovo can heat itself to 70 degrees being in sleep mode. (I don’t definitely have malware) About three months ago one fan died. I came across this video only because I tried to find some videos where people are mad at this f*ing company. After all, I can’t connect this 💩 to the internet for about 40 minutes. Can’t believe that I spent €1600+ to get this 💩 , I should just buy a PC or Mac.

why did u select the minimal installation? Is it not possible to do the normal installation? because when I choose normal installation, I can't load to ubuntu on my external ssd after finish installation, it stucks in (initramfs)

I did like in the video, and face grub. I load in my eksternal with other computer and want to check for /etc/fstab/. I have tried other ways but it gives error " load kernel first". But its already correct. And I my eksternal ssd works on all my other PC but the one with windows. Its only error in that one. Any idea what could go wrong?

I have a dell G15 and a Toshiba HDD, following the tutorial works just fine (works like dual boots when my external hard drive is connected, and windows boots normally if external hard drive is not connected). I however have to follow the “Fix Potential Issue” part of the video, but I didn’t specify the efi file as per 18:45 of the video. Wish you all good luck

OMG, i thought i could never fix it. It had been like that for a year and i just didn't think it could be fixed and that i eventually looked for a solution it was very simple and easy. I'm so dumb for not looking for a solution earlier. Thank you very much for this though!

I FOUND A PERMANTENT FIX: as shown in the video, unplug the screen connector from the motherboard. Notice the piece of black tape around the wires right where they fan out from the cable into the connector. Take some standard plastic electrical tape and wrap it a few times around the fabric tape that's already there. You might wan to try removing the fabric tape first if you can do so carefully. Basically make sure the whole area from the cable to the connectors is completely sealed in a few layers of electrical tape. I did this about 6 months ago after once again opening the laptop to jiggle the cable a bit (which was always only a temporary fix at best), but since applying the tape the issue is completely resolved. Not sure why this works, my only guess is that there is some kind of interference affecting the very fine array of wires at the point they come out of the cable to feed into the connector. The tape seems to provide enough shielding to prevent interference. I was literally about to ditch this laptop when I figured this out, but instead for someone who definitely doesn't need the latest and greatest hardware from their laptop (I have a desktop for that), this fix has allowed me to get what I presume will be several more years of life out of my Yoga 730!
